Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in line with protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate patient progress clearly
• Document patient care and outcomes accurately in the facility electronic record (Meditech helpful)
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, following ACLS and NIHSS guidance
• Support discharge planning, patient education, and family communication

Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or valid multistate (compact) nursing license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Completion of an approved 6-hour suicide prevention training
• Nursys demographic verification completed
• Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other departments and be a collaborative team player

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical knowledge and nursing fundamentals
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record is a plus
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts and adapting to rotating schedules
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and clinical judgment
