Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor telemetry and clinical status
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and escalate concerns as needed
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in PCU, step-down, or acute care
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Strong telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to comply with facility credentialing

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but all qualified RNs are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and progressive care monitoring
• IV therapy, medication administration, and titration experience
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced unit
