Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and patient assessment across critical care and pediatric/neonatal service lines
• Manage and operate mechanical ventilation (adult and infant/peds devices) and advanced oxygen therapies
• Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and adjust therapies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and code situations
• Document patient care clearly and accurately in the Cerner EMR
• Float across critical care units and floors as needed to support patient needs
• Ensure equipment readiness and proper use of transport and non-invasive ventilation devices

Qualifications

• North Carolina Respiratory License (required)
• RRT — Registered Respiratory Therapist (required)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (required)
• NRP preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant respiratory therapy experience (critical care/acute care experience preferred)
• Comfortable working with adult and neonatal/pediatric patients and advanced ventilator platforms

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management (GE R860, Draeger infant/peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent)
• Non-invasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapies (V60, Vapotherm, Comfort Flow)
• Critical care respiratory protocols and procedures
• Neonatal/pediatric respiratory care and equipment familiarity
• Proficient documentation in Cerner EMR
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
