Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic and portable imaging across OR, ED and inpatient settings
• Operate fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively, ensuring patient and staff safety
• Evaluate images for technical quality and make adjustments as needed
• Float between assigned departments to meet patient care needs and support the team
• Work with and supervise students from Grady, including performing competency check-offs
• Provide patient-centered care for adults, and be willing to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
• Ensure proper mask fit and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with clinicians and technologists to support trauma and emergent imaging needs

Qualifications

• ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiography program — required
• Minimum 1 year experience at a Level 1 trauma center OR 2-3 years at a large bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Experience with OR imaging, ED imaging, inpatient imaging and portable radiography
• Comfortable working with trauma patients and performing trauma radiography
• Willingness to learn pediatrics and neonatal imaging and to float between departments
• Mask fit clearance required

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved Radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong radiography and fluoroscopy skills with image evaluation expertise
• Experience with EMR systems: EPIC and Sectra
• Familiarity with imaging equipment: GE, Philips and CareStream
• Ability to perform portable radiography safely in varied clinical settings
• Competence in trauma radiography and working under emergent conditions
• Patient care skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
• Student mentoring and competency check-off experience
• Flexibility to float and adapt to different departmental workflows
