Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, focused on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor residents’ condition, observe changes, and promptly report to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and clearly following facility policies
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with the nursing team to help implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Participate in infection control and safety practices to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (or equivalent) — state requirements apply
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or relevant training
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Ability to work night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Willingness to complete background checks, TB screening, and any required health screenings
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and resident observation
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Reliable documentation and time management skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
