Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the overnight shift
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring patient responses
• Accurately document care and communicate updates in the patient record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and transitions
• Respond efficiently to emergencies and escalate concerns when necessary
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS and other specialty certifications encouraged or preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts and managing priorities
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with EHR systems and accurate charting
• IV therapy, wound care, and common inpatient procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in urgent situations
