Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med Surg telemetry nursing care for adult patients with musculoskeletal infections and post-op orthopedics
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to dysrhythmias, and activate Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Perform IV starts, peripheral line management and phlebotomy with competence and safety
• Use EPIC for accurate charting, medication administration, and interdisciplinary communication
• Collaborate with PT, RT, pharmacy, social services and wound care teams to coordinate holistic patient care
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed while maintaining standards of care
• Maintain infection isolation precautions and support Veriflo/Wound VAC treatments when indicated

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (state of practice) and ability to obtain licensure in Ohio if needed
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated IV start skills, peripheral line care, and phlebotomy experience
• Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• Comfort working night shifts and floating between similar units
• Flu vaccine required per facility guidelines (medical exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required

• Non-invasive airway management and nasal cannula support
• Wound care familiarity including Veriflo/Wound VAC use
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and teamwork
