Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures accurately and efficiently to support excellent patient care
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety and radiation protection protocols
- Position patients with respect and dignity, ensuring comfort and proper imaging technique
- Verify orders and patient identity, documenting procedures clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with ED staff and clinicians to deliver timely imaging in urgent situations
- Participate in required checklists and competency validations, including Trinity Skills Checklist
- Adhere to infection control, immunization, and fit test requirements to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Valid state radiologic technologist license - License/Certificate Verification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist
- Current fit test and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
- Successful Trinity 10-panel drug screen and current physical/health statement
- Comfortable working evening shifts and every other weekend rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Familiarity with digital imaging systems and basic equipment troubleshooting
- Understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction practices
- Clear communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced emergency or urgent care environment
- Proficiency with electronic health record documentation and imaging workflow
- Attention to detail for accurate patient identification and record keeping
