Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while following facility protocols
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs

Qualifications

• Class listed: RN or LPN (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) — current licensure in good standing
• Active state nursing license (or ability to obtain state licensure for assignment)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS encouraged where applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively during night shift
• Medication administration and patient assessment proficiency

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma, ADN, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical judgment
• IV therapy and medication administration
• Wound care and basic procedures
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Time management and prioritization during high-acuity shifts
• Effective teamwork and clear bedside communication
• De-escalation and crisis response skills
