Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, Day: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and Night: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (typically 3x12 schedule per week); orientation week 1: Monday-Friday days, week 2: 36 hours on-unit with preceptor; weekends variable based on unit needs

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert care to adult and geriatric oncology patients
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients closely for adverse reactions
- Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions
- Perform specialized procedures including brachytherapy support and neobladder/CBI care
- Maintain central lines, manage IV therapy, and safely administer blood products
- Participate in clinical trials and ensure accurate data collection and documentation
- Implement and enforce infection prevention measures and fall prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and activate rapid response when needed
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Support unit staffing needs and float to other MedSurg Oncology units as required
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology procedures preferred
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
- Comfortable working rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
- ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn, grow nursing practice, and participate in clinical trials
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) — active license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting and documentation
- Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Central line maintenance and blood product administration
- Feeding tube care, NG tube management and drain management
- Brachytherapy support and neobladder/CBI familiarity
- Infection prevention protocols and patient falls management
- PCA pumps, epidural management, and tracheostomy care basics
