Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for progressive care unit patients
• Continuously monitor telemetry and intervene promptly on changes in cardiac rhythm
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to create patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families about condition management, discharge needs, and follow-up care
• Float between Med/Tele, PCU, and rehab units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
• Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice (Colorado licensure or appropriate compact privilege)
• Minimum 2 years of strong telemetry experience (explicit requirement)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Chemo certification preferred for optional oncology scheduling
• Comfort with floating across Med/Tele, PCU, and rehab units and working in a team-oriented environment

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (licensure required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience using Meditech or similar EMR systems for documentation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage 1:5 patient ratios with efficiency and compassion
• Excellent communication and teamwork to support cross-unit patient care
