Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Assist with meals and feeding when needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Perform routine vital sign checks and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and mobility aids
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments by following infection control and safety protocols
- Document care activities accurately and communicate observations to the care team
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support and companionship
Qualifications
- GNA or CNA certification preferred (bring your training and patient-focused care skills)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working with geriatric populations and assisting with activities of daily living
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA/CNA certification recommended
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs, feeding assistance, and documentation
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
