Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and resident behaviors accurately
- Support safe transfers and fall prevention measures with attentive technique
- Document care in the charting system and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to promote individualized care plans
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent required; Maryland certification preferred or eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or obtainable prior to start
- Experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and dementia-sensitive approaches
- Skilled in safe resident handling and mobility assistance
- Proficient at taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
