Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, helping them maintain dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Take and document vital signs, monitor resident condition and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures while encouraging independence
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings as required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in safe resident handling and mobility assistance
• Comfortable with charting, basic clinical measurements and care plans
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and comfort
