Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and patient responses to care
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote comfort and mobility
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support resident dignity and independence while following individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in the state of Pennsylvania
• Active state-required credentials and ability to obtain facility access/background checks
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and direct patient care in a long-term or acute care setting
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in a similar caregiving role is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent state-approved coursework
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient-centered care and promoting comfort and dignity
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety protocols
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting systems
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and clinical teams
