Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Accurately record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote dignity and independence
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain quickly
• Comfortable working in long-term care or similar settings; previous experience a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs and resident-centered care approaches
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety procedures
• Good observational skills to recognize changes in resident condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork skills
