Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care for MICU patients, managing a 1:2 patient ratio
• Safely initiate and manage CRRT and other advanced renal support therapies
• Administer and titrate medication drips and manage central lines with precision
• Care for patients during and after procedures such as bronchoscopy and EGD
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other ICU equipment while collaborating with respiratory therapy
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate condition changes to the care team
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to advocate for patient-centered care and discharge planning
• Mentor and support colleagues to maintain unit safety, quality, and morale

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/MICU experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - required
• Experience with CRRT, central lines, medication drips, and ventilator management
• Familiarity with procedures such as bronchoscopy and EGD
• Experience with Meditech or other acute-care EMR systems
• NIH Stroke Scale experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• CRRT management and troubleshooting
• Central line care and sterile technique
• Familiarity with oncology-related chemo administration in ICU settings
• Proficiency in Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient/family education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced MICU environment
