Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Genesis - West Region
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs and document clinical changes accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policies
• Provide clear patient and family education, answering questions and fostering trust
• Escalate concerns and changes in patient status promptly to ensure timely interventions
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications welcomed
• Clinical experience in long-term care or comparable acute/chronic care settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Dependable, patient-centered approach with good documentation and time-management habits

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or PN program); BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of nursing assessment, medication administration and charting
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows, resident-centered care and care planning
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting accurately
• Skilled at patient/family education and de-escalation techniques when needed
