Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not provided)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Measure and record vital signs and intake/output accurately
- Document care provided clearly and timely in the resident chart
- Help create a calm, comfortable environment and engage residents in meaningful activities
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and negative TB test per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Compassionate approach and prior experience working with older adults is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification/license
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of resident-centered geriatric care and dignity-preserving practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with nurses and families
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, feeding assistance, toileting, and mobility support
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic charting
- Attention to detail, time management, and reliable attendance
