Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
- Help with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility and dignity
- Document patient care accurately and timely to support quality outcomes
- Communicate observations and care needs clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Support residents' emotional needs and encourage independence wherever possible
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- T-CNA credential preferred and/or relevant training in long-term care
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and collaborating with an on-site care team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training; high school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with basic patient care tasks: ADLs, bathing, dressing, feeding
- Skilled at taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and safe patient handling
- Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Team player who communicates clearly with nurses and other caregivers
