Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services as prescribed by provider orders with skill and compassion
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment, ensuring safe ventilator support when required
• Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust therapy per protocol
• Document treatments and patient responses clearly and promptly in Epic
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care, inhaler techniques, and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control and safety standards while handling body fluids and exposure risks
• Support medication workflows that interact with Pyxis and follow hospital policies

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — CRTs will not be accepted
• Ohio RCP license required prior to start
• BLS from the American Heart Association required (AHA BLS only)
• Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis required for documentation and medication workflows
• Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, by phone, and via email
• Capable of intermittent sitting, standing, stooping and lifting up to 25 pounds as needed

• Proficient documentation skills in Epic
• Experience with medication workflows and supply systems like Pyxis
• Infection control practices and safe handling of body fluids

• Team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
