Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts), self-scheduled/shift-fill; every-other-weekend required; one winter and one summer holiday required; possible standby (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients, delivering high-quality acute care
- Monitor telemetry and validate telemetry strips as part of a centralized monitoring system
- Safely titrate IV drips (insulin, pain medications and other common titratable meds) per unit protocols
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including RTs for Bipap and high-flow patients
- Serve as a reliable member of a high-functioning team, supporting charge nurses and supervising aides when needed
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs with compassion and clarity
- Escalate changes in condition promptly and participate in safe handoffs during shift changes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the appropriate jurisdiction and eligible to work in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with telemetry experience required
- BLS certification required; Telemetry certification required (BLS TELE noted)
- Comfort and proven competency with IV drip titration
- Experience with EPIC charting and centralized telemetry monitoring
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a self-scheduled rotating roster
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced acute care setting
Education
- Active RN license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma acceptable; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip validation
- Skilled at IV drip titration and managing common titratable medications
- Familiarity with Medical-Surgical patient needs and acuity management
- Experience using EPIC for documentation and medication administration
- Comfort managing patients on Bipap and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Ability to work with centralized monitoring systems and coordinate with monitor techs
- Time management and patient prioritization in 12-hour shift environments
