Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing and toileting with dignity
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident status
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Work closely with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Comfortable working a 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM day shift schedule, Sunday through Saturday
- Travel CNA experience or previous facility experience is a plus
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, resident-first attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Teamwork, time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
