Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients across assigned shifts
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with protocols
- Respond effectively to emergencies and collaborate with the care team during critical events
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly in the medical record
- Participate in specialty competency testing and skills validation as required
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care processes and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state verification required)
- BLS (required)
- PALS (required)
- ACLS (required)
- TNCC (required)
- NIHSS (required)
- Successful completion of facility onboarding requirements: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella), COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Ability to work rotating schedules including weekends and holiday coverage
- Completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and emergency response
- Effective documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely
- Team-oriented communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
- Comfort with specialty-specific competency testing and continuous skills validation
