Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, respectful personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly
- Support mealtimes and ensure residents are comfortable and safe while eating
- Document care activities accurately and timely according to facility procedures
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, home-like environment for older adults
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Comfort working evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and supporting a diverse resident population
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-centered care skills and experience with ADLs
- Basic vital signs knowledge and ability to observe and report changes
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
- Familiarity with documentation practices and care plans
- Good time management, teamwork, and attention to safety and infection control
