Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, respectful personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtimes and ensure residents are comfortable and safe while eating
• Document care activities accurately and timely according to facility procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, home-like environment for older adults
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Comfort working evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and supporting a diverse resident population

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident-centered care skills and experience with ADLs
• Basic vital signs knowledge and ability to observe and report changes
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
• Familiarity with documentation practices and care plans
• Good time management, teamwork, and attention to safety and infection control
