Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and clearly to support coordinated, high-quality treatment plans
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive individualized attention during dining
• Foster a warm, social environment by engaging residents in conversation and recreational activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent (required)
• Active state nursing assistant registry in Maryland or eligible to register
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working night shifts and supporting geriatric populations
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care needs and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in safe resident transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic infection control and wound observation awareness
• Ability to follow care plans, communicate observations, and document accurately
• Teamwork mindset with flexibility and problem-solving on busy shifts
