Shift Type: Night shift (NOC), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (specific days not specified)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) with dignity and respect
- Provide safe mobility support and help with transfers to reduce fall risk
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and noticeable changes in condition
- Support dining assistance and meal setup, ensuring nutrition and hydration needs are met
- Communicate changes in resident condition to nurses and participate in care plan updates
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Build rapport and provide compassionate, person-centered care that honors each resident’s preferences
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (or state-equivalent) — Maryland certification preferred or the ability to obtain it
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Comfortable working night shift hours and interacting with older adult populations
- Background check, drug screening, and required health screenings (TB, immunizations) per facility policy
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude
- Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus but enthusiastic new grads are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe resident handling
- Ability to accurately observe and record resident status and changes
- Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA patient privacy standards
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a busy shift
