Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting independence
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent per state requirements
• Previous experience caring for older adults is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members
• Proof of eligibility to work and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident rights
• Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Basic vital sign monitoring and observation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced setting
