Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Accurately document care provided and observations in resident records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans and positive outcomes
- Engage with residents respectfully to promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Current LNA license or certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) in VT or eligible to practice
- Ability to work every weekend as required by the role
- Must have own transportation
- Must have own housing (local-only assignment)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate patient focus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
- Available for the assignment dates: starts 2026-01-05 through 2026-03-15
Education
- Completion of an accredited LNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs and observation of clinical changes
- Clear, accurate documentation and charting
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Teamwork, time management, and prioritization during busy shifts
- Compassionate communication with residents, families, and staff
