Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Schedule varies, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, non-overnight)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support mobility, transfers and safe ambulation while promoting independence
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident status
- Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs/preferences are respected
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- Minimum relevant experience working with elderly populations preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers and personal care
- Basic clinical observation skills and ability to report changes
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Good documentation and time-management abilities
- Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with older adults
