Shift Type: Schedule varies (days to be confirmed by facility); typical evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/PM shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for older adults
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility while preserving dignity
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment through proper infection control and housekeeping assistance
- Document care activities accurately in resident charts and handoffs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident-centered care and quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Maryland GNA or CNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric settings is a plus
- Clear background check, TB test, and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills when working with older adults and families
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA/CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and basic mobility techniques
- Familiarity with infection prevention, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
- Good observational skills and the ability to recognize changes in resident status
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
