Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions on your assigned unit, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic health record to maintain continuity
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Provide compassionate patient and family education to promote recovery and understanding
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure a comfortable, respectful care environment
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to keep patient flow efficient

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience as an LPN preferred; CVN or med-surg exposure is a plus
• Ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM evening shifts and adapt to PRN scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required facility screenings

Education

• Practical nursing diploma, certificate, or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program and successful licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and safe charting practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Infection control standards and adherence to facility protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
