Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assist licensed nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and follow care plans carefully.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to the care team to ensure timely interventions.
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in resident charts and electronic records.
• Support mobility and safety: help residents move, transfer, and remain safe throughout their shift.
• Maintain infection control and facility safety standards to protect residents and coworkers.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families, offering dignity and respect in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification/class for NH or VT required (Licensed Nursing Assistant - VT/NH indicated).
• Local candidates only (this is a local assignment).
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain per facility policy.
• Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required immunizations.
• Dependable, team-oriented, with strong communication and observational skills.

Education

• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-focused care and strong interpersonal skills
• Competence with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Basic charting and documentation accuracy
• Infection control practices and safety procedures
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Collaborative communication with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team
