Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and assist with transfers, ensuring patient comfort and dignity
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care plans
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep everyone safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-recognized) — completion of an accredited CNA program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and mobility support
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control practices and resident safety
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Strong observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Good time management and organization during busy shifts
