Shift Type: Night, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (specific days not provided)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults, prioritizing dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and physical condition accurately and timely
- Document care, observations, and changes in condition in the clinical record
- Support safe transfers, fall prevention, and safe mobility practices
- Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and families to support care plans
- Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a collaborative care environment
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies with calm, competent action
Qualifications
- Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or equivalent credential required
- Current/state-appropriate certification or registration (ability to work in Maryland required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings is a plus
- Clean background check, current immunizations, and TB screening as required by facility
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Education
- GNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and promoting resident independence
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes in condition appropriately
- Good teamwork, time management, and resident-centered communication
