Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Support meal service and feeding assistance while monitoring dietary needs
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to clinical staff promptly
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection-control protocols
• Document care accurately and timely in resident records and communicate with the care team
• Help create a warm, engaging atmosphere that supports residents’ emotional and social needs

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited GNA program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and required immunizations
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and collaborating with a team
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe resident transfers
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Ability to observe, document and communicate changes in resident condition
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and respect for resident dignity
