Shift Type: Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (days not specified) - Night shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and record residents’ conditions — vital signs, changes in behavior, and skin integrity — accurately and promptly
- Provide meaningful companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance quality of life
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team and family members about resident needs
- Document care and incidents thoroughly in the electronic or paper records used by the facility
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate bedside manner
- Basic proficiency with charting and following care plans
Education
- High school diploma or GED and GNA certification (or state equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Familiarity with safe transfer techniques and fall prevention strategies
- Understanding of infection control practices and PPE use
- Good observational skills for changes in condition and behavior
- Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and therapists
- Time management to prioritize resident needs during busy shifts
