Shift Type: Rotating night 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule created in 6-week blocks (leadership-assigned), includes 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, may participate in holiday rotation

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients across multiple specialties
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and act promptly on rhythm changes and clinical deterioration
- Titrate IV heparin per protocol and manage other common drips as required
- Float across MS-Tele, stepdown/PCU, select ICU holds, and specialty units as assigned to meet patient needs
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RNs, RTs, charge nurses, and house supervisors
- Support unit staffing needs by flexing into different units within the 60-mile zone
- Serve as a professional, patient-centered clinician who models safety, empathy, and clinical judgment
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for Colorado (license to submit required)
- Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Comfortable titrating heparin infusions and managing telemetry drips
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Able and willing to float across a 60-mile zone; valid driver's license and reliable transportation (DL must be submitted)
- Willing to be in-state for the week of orientation and able to secure housing that supports floating within the zone
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Familiarity with adult and geriatric medical-surgical care across specialties (cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, etc.)
- IV drip management and heparin titration
- Proficient documentation in EPIC
- Ability to prioritize in 1:5-6 nurse:patient ratios based on acuity
- Comfort working with RT equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, vents) and collaborating with respiratory therapy
