Shift Type: Evening (Shift 2), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; days vary — schedule to be confirmed with facility
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents — assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Support mobility and safe transfers to keep residents moving comfortably
- Observe residents closely and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Assist with meals and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and respect
- Document care activities accurately and timely to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to create a warm, person-centered environment
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — Maryland certification preferred or eligible to obtain
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable working with older adults and committed to compassionate care
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved GNA training program or state-recognized equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and geriatric care best practices
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Basic infection control and PPE usage
- Good observation and reporting skills to recognize changes in resident condition
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
