Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night (days scheduled by facility; nights/overnight shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition, communicating observations to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and proper use of mobility aids to preserve resident dignity and independence
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, following dietary and safety guidelines
- Keep resident rooms and common areas tidy and comfortable while respecting privacy
- Document resident care accurately in charts and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through patient, respectful interactions
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- High school diploma or GED (see education section)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements (vaccinations, TB screening)
- Comfortable working overnight hours and supporting a geriatric population
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic geriatric care principles
- Basic vital signs competency and infection control practices
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Timely and accurate documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and stay calm in a busy overnight setting
