Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Observe and report changes in condition promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of resident care and behavior
• Support mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Help create a warm, home-like environment by engaging residents in meaningful activities
• Follow infection control practices to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Prior experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or state equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of assisted living and long-term care routines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic clinical skills such as vital signs and safe resident handling
• Good documentation and time-management abilities
• Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
