Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe and comfortable patient transfers and mobility
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and documentation of intake as directed
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members
• Document patient care and observations in facility records in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Ability to work a part-time schedule including every other weekend
• Willingness to complete facility-required screenings: background check, drug screen, and immunizations
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic bedside care
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for resident interactions and documentation
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
