Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices to promote nutrition
- Follow care plans and document interventions clearly in resident records
- Work collaboratively with nurses and facility staff to ensure a safe, dignified environment
Qualifications
- Active LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant)
- Valid Vermont nursing assistant license (VT) required
- New Hampshire license (NH) listed for regional coverage — bring it if you have it
- Reliable local availability for this Newport, VT assignment
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved nursing assistant program and LNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Infection control, safe hygiene, and PPE best practices
- Clear documentation and basic electronic health record familiarity
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork
