Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents on your unit
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about care needs and medication instructions
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow facility protocols
- Support continuity of care during shift handoffs and participate in unit meetings
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing strongly preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass facility background checks and credentialing
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid medication administration and documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable with electronic health record charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
