Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (overnight), schedule varies; specific days to be confirmed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults and promote dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition, including vital signs and behavior changes
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to maintain a healthy environment
- Engage residents socially and provide emotional support to residents and families
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required, or eligible to obtain
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Proof of immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Clean background check and drug screen per facility policy
- Experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills, compassion and the ability to work well on a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and resident hygiene
- Knowledge of basic vital signs and ability to recognize clinical changes
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and behavior de-escalation
- Good charting and documentation practices
- Understanding of infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
