Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams with professionalism and attention to detail
• Conduct Separation Health Assessments to support Veteran care transitions
• Execute interview-based clinical evaluations and focused physical assessments (ROM, muscle strength)
• Complete clear, timely medical reports and any required addendums or medical opinions
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow VES onboarding and practice guidelines
• Coordinate with VES staff to schedule exams and ensure smooth veteran experiences
• Participate in required training to remain current with C&P exam processes and standards

Qualifications

• MD or DO (Physician) — active medical degree required
• Specialty background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine
• Experience or willingness to perform Compensation & Pension exams and separation assessments
• Own clinical office within 50 miles of the listed city OR ability to work at a VES facility within a 50-mile radius
• Strong medical documentation and report-writing skills
• Ability to complete required VES training and onboarding prior to seeing Veterans
