Physician - OB/GYN
Location: Ontario, OR
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable days including weekends, 24-hour on-call (pager) — 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM (rotating/variable); includes clinic days and hospital call. Candidate should be able to cover a minimum of 14 shifts per month; low-volume with rare callbacks.
Candidate Pay Rate: $203 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, full-scope OB/GYN care across clinic and hospital settings
- Manage labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care in a 10-bed LDRP unit
- Triage and respond to 24-hour pager calls promptly and professionally
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff and the newborn nursery team to ensure excellent perinatal care
- Document clinical encounters and maintain accurate case logs using EPIC EMR
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives to support excellent maternal and newborn outcomes
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of an OB/GYN residency (MD diploma and residency/fellowship certificates required at time of acceptance)
- Active medical license (Oregon) — must provide all medical licenses
- DEA registration required
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Current BLS (life support) card required
- Ability to provide full-scope OB/GYN care including labor & delivery and hospital call
- Comfortable using EPIC EMR and maintaining case logs
- Willingness to travel and complete locum credentialing; able to cover minimum 14 shifts/month
Education
- MD or DO required; completion of OB/GYN residency
Knowledge & Skills
- Full-scope OB/GYN clinical expertise
- Labor and delivery management in an LDRP setting
- Newborn nursery familiarity and coordination with neonatal team
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record
- Effective on-call triage and communication skills via pager
- Strong documentation, case logging and time-management skills
- Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate with hospital staff
