Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a broad case mix including orthopedics (elective and trauma), GI, gynecology, ENT, vascular, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic and pediatric cases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and adjust anesthetic management to maintain stability
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental best practices
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively during handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds
- Contribute to a professional, confident, and friendly team environment
Qualifications
- Active CRNA credential or eligible for certification
- Graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (see Education)
- Experience preferred but new graduates through 2025 will be considered
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain upon hire as required by facility)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including longer block shifts (8–16 hours)
- Team-oriented, professional communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
- Not accepting Locums providers
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (Master’s or Doctoral level as applicable); CRNA certification or eligibility
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of anesthesia techniques and agents across adult and pediatric populations
- Familiarity with complex vascular, cardiac, neurosurgical, and trauma anesthesia
- Skill in airway management and perioperative critical care
- Proficiency with regional anesthesia techniques and monitoring modalities
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making abilities
- Comfort working in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary hospital environment
