Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive family medicine care integrated with obstetrics and gynecology services
- Perform C-sections and manage operative obstetric care as part of the on-site team
- Build and grow the Family Practice with OB/GYN at the North Health Plaza clinic
- Collaborate with hospitalists and specialty services for coordinated inpatient and outpatient care
- Use Cerner in the hospital and eClinicalWorks in clinic for timely, accurate documentation
- Work alongside APPs, nurses, and a dedicated clinical staff to deliver patient-centered care
- Participate in on-call coverage as part of the 1:4 rotation and support a predictable call schedule
Qualifications
- Board Eligible in Family Medicine with plans to become Board Certified within one year of employment, or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- OB Fellowship-trained (fellowship must be completed prior to start) — recent fellowship graduates are welcome
- Able to perform C-sections and manage low- to moderate-risk obstetric cases
- Clean malpractice history preferred; unable to accept providers with malpractice cases in probate or requiring supervision
- Not accepting locum tenens or visa-sponsored candidates — must be eligible to work without sponsorship
- Willingness to complete credentialing (estimated 45–90 days) and obtain appropriate state licensure
Education
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of Family Medicine residency
- OB Fellowship completed prior to start (or upcoming graduates who meet BE/BC plan described)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in family medicine with OB experience and operative obstetrics (C-sections)
- Familiarity with Cerner (hospital) and eClinicalWorks (clinic) EMR systems
- Proficiency with on-site ultrasound equipment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
- Ability to manage outpatient clinic flow and provide high-quality inpatient coordination
- Commitment to patient-centered care and excellent bedside manner
