Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum hematology and oncology care — from new patient referrals through active treatment and follow-up
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage infusion therapy with clinical precision
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
- Participate in and support clinical research and trials to bring leading-edge care to patients
- Engage with referring primary care providers and specialty colleagues to strengthen the care network
- Contribute to program outreach and patient engagement efforts to grow and improve services
- Rotate clinic responsibilities between the two Trinity Health cancer centers to meet community needs
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology (open to new graduates; must obtain board certification within 2 years if applicable)
- Eligible for or holding appropriate U.S. work authorization (H1B visa candidates considered; J1 not accepted)
- Clinical experience or training in inpatient and outpatient oncology care, infusion services, and multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient- and family-centered care
- Not accepting Locums candidates
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree)
- Board-certified/board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology (with certification required within 2 years for new graduates)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive patient care and treatment planning in hematology and oncology
- Infusion therapy management and familiarity with infusion services
- Multidisciplinary team coordination with specialists such as surgical, radiation, neuro and gynecologic oncology
- Experience with or interest in clinical trials and research activities
- Familiarity with ancillary support services — laboratory, pharmacy, genetics, care management, social work, and nurse navigation
- Ability to engage in program marketing and community outreach
